He drew on an idea that had taken shape that same year, when he was invited to Moscow to set up the window display of the Brazilian embassy. Alviero Martini spotted an old geographic map, and the spark of an original idea was born: he attached an old map to a suitcase and placed it in the window, catching the eye of passers-by who stopped to look.

Shortly afterwards, the Prima Classe by Alviero Martini collection was born, and it went on to become famous the world over.
